Dr. G. Whitney Reader was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of Rice University and his Tulane University School of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his post graduate residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, and his Cardiology Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Reader is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is currently the Chief Medical Officer of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Reader performs cardiovascular interventions at Kansas Medical Center and Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital.
Dr. Reader has been practicing medicine for 40 years. His private practice, G. Whitney Reader M.D., PA, includes both Interventional and General Cardiology. He accepts most healthcare plans and is currently welcoming new patients.
