Physicians

Dr. Ahmad Qaddour received his M.D. degree from Damascus University.  He completed his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Texas Tech University in Lubbock Texas.  Awards include “Top 10% in Medical School” and “Best Resident of the Year”.  He is certified by the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Cardiology and is a member of The American College of Cardiology.  Dr. Qaddour has published multiple research papers as well as providing cardiology lecture presentations.  Dr. Qaddour joined Cypress Heart in 2014 bringing with him 10+ years of experience, an array of procedures and a friendly approach welcomed by patients.

Dr. Daniel Alvarez, is a graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital.

Dr. Alvarez is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He has memberships with multiple organizations including the American Osteopathic Association, American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Alvarez joined Cypress Heart in 2018 with 20+ years of experience. He has a patient-centered approach to care that is valued by his patients.

Dr. Joseph Lemlek graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Lemlek completed his training in Philadelphia, where he specialized in Interventional Cardiology.  He moved his practice to Wichita in 2007.  Dr. Lemlek is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Gregory Boxberger, is a graduate of the University of Kansas Medical School. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology with over 45 years of extensive experience in Adult Congenital Heart Conditions, Interventional Cardiac Procedures and Heart Conditions. Dr. Boxberger joined the Cypress Heart team in 2026 and is accepting new patients.
